To ensure a calm educational environment during the development of the activities with animals we recommend not to exceed the maximum recommended number of students per workshop.
Activities and workshops at school
- The number of participants per group is the usual number of students in the class.
- There is the possibility of doing up to 3 sessions in a row for 3 different classes with a significant discount for the 2nd and 3rd session. More information at:
- If more than three sessions are needed, the Zoo of the Pyrenees team can come on another day.
- If it is a school with a small number of students per class, sessions can be held for groups of a maximum of 30 students. Naturally only if the protocol of the educational center allows it.
- We do not recommend exceeding this number of students. This is due to the fact that we want to ensure a comfortable development of the activity that gives valuable knowledge of the subject in a respectful and calm environment for everyone.
- If the center wants to combine several classes per session because the price of the of the activity is too high for its budget, we inform that usually the PTA or the City Council assume a part of the cost if such cases arise.
Number of students on school trips
At the Zoo of the Pyrenees we welcome small schools as well as large educational centers. The maximum number we can take in one day is 150 students. On the day of your visit the zoo ‘s educational team will be fully at your disposal. You will not have to share the space with any other school.
Birds of Prey Show
All students participate together in the birds of prey schow.
If COVID 19 restrictions return
If the school protocol requires it, students will be seated with a 1 meter separation between one student and the other. Each of the interactive parts of the exhibition will be attended by a classgroup.
Other workshops
In the other activities and workshops will always participate a classgroup or a maximum of 25 students. The number of students per group will be clarified with the teacher in charge of the school trip at the moment of the confirmation of the reservation.
Teachers will decide if they want the same workshops for all students or if classes will participate in different workshops.
Youth camps
For youth camps we recommend that the number of students per workshop does not exceed 40 students. In this way the number of boys and girls per session assures a good development of the activity and the necessary tranquility for the animals that participate in the workshops.
Up to 3 consecutive sessions can be held if it is a daytime activity and 2 sessions if it is a nighttime activity.
