We have designed each session to be comfortable for the teacher, educational for the students and respectful of the wild animals that accompany us. Here you will find the recommended number of students and how we adapt each workshop to your group.

Why is this number important for workshops with animals?

This limit of students per workshop is not just a number. It is the formula so that:

• Every student has visibility and direct access to the animal experience — not just watching from afar while waiting for their turn.
• The group’s attention is real and participatory, generating emotion, questions and meaningful learning.
• The educators at the Zoo of the Pyrenees can guarantee a calm, controlled and respectful environment for the animals — important both for the well-being of the animals and for a quality educational session.

How many students can a session at your center have?

We recommend working with a class (25–30 students). This number ensures that everyone can participate, ask questions and experience wildlife in a normal way.

Can I group several classes into a single session if we are a small school?

Yes, as long as the total does not exceed 30 students. This way we maintain the quality, safety and good dynamics of the workshop with animals.

What happens if we have more than 30 students in a class?

If the group exceeds 30 students, we recommend holding two consecutive sessions with groups of a maximum of 30.

This allows for real interaction in a relaxed atmosphere, and you can take advantage of the discount we offer on second and third sessions. Check the prices of the workshops at the educational center here.

Will the price of the workshop increase if there are many students?

Not necessarily.
If the group is large and the budget is tight, the Parents’ association or the City Council often collaborates by financing part of the activity.

What are the space requirements for holding the workshop with animals at my center?

The activity can be done perfectly in the students’ regular classroom. If you want to ensure that the space is suitable, you can check the space requirements before booking the workshop.

Number of students on school trips

Both small and large schools are welcome at the Zoo of the Pyrenees. The maximum we can accommodate in a day is 150 students.

On the day of your visit, you will not share spaces with any other school: our educational team will be 100% at your disposal.

Number of students at the birds of prey show

At the birds of prey show, all students attend at the same time, but are seated with a comfortable separation between them to ensure good visibility and a calm atmosphere.

The activity is organized so that everyone can enjoy the experience, and the most interactive parts are planned so that each student can participate at some point, even if the group is large.

Other workshops at the wild animal refuge

In the other activities and workshops, a class group of a maximum of 25 students will always participate. The number of students per group will be clarified with the teacher responsible for the school trip at the time of confirmation of the reservation.

Teachers can decide whether all groups do the same workshop or if they prefer different workshops for each class.

Number of students in workshops at youth camps

For youth camps, we recommend a maximum of 40 students per workshop. This ensures a smooth, participatory activity and the necessary tranquility for the animals involved.

Up to 3 consecutive sessions can be done in daytime activities and up to 2 sessions if it is a nighttime activity.
