The Natural Sciences syllabus for secondary education is very broad. It is complicated, or almost impossible for a teacher to meet all the expectations of the Biology curriculum, Ecology and Geology.
The Zoo of the Pyrenees Foundation has a solution:
- The activities with native wildlife for secondary education that we offer include the themes of the official curriculum in a global way.
- The booklet that accompanies the activity helps students to understand a part of the complex system of biology.
Interacting with specimens of protected species, endangered and/or threatened species that are in danger of extinction at a global level leaves an emotional emotional impact on students and awakens their interest and involvement in ecology.
The workshops with native fauna of the Zoo of the Pyrenees are unique activities developed in close cooperation with the General Directorate of Environment. Its objective is to provide a useful tool for teachers and professors in Catalonia.
