At the moment of contracting an external school activity or planning an excursion or a stay at the it is important to know the cancellation and change of day policy.
From the Zoo of the Pyrenees Foundation we give you all the advantages to be able to plan and contract our activities without any risk.
- We do not ask for any deposit at the moment of booking the activity. This way you don’t have any economic commitment with us. Once the activity is finished we send you the invoice.
- You can change the day of the activity without any price increase.
- In case it is not possible to change the day you can cancel the reservation without any financial penalty.
Reasons for canceling or requesting a change of day of the activity
COVID -19
The COVID-19pandemic brings great risk and uncertainty to the planning of school activities. You can change the date of the activity in the case that the class is in quarantine or if due to a common illness an important part of the students is missing.
If there is no available day to make the change you can cancel the activity without any compromise.

Excursion to the Zoo of the Pyrenees
Weather conditions are an important aspect to ensure that the excursion to the Zoo of the Pyrenees is a successful experience for the students. On the one hand the students will fully enjoy the outdoor activities, on the other hand, parents will appreciate that the children are not exposed the risk of catching a cold and getting sick.
What options do we give you in case of rain, strong wind, cold or even snow?
- Move the excursion to another day.
- Transform the excursion into a school activity while maintaining the agreed price.
- Cancel the excursion.
- To go ahead with the excursion with the option that part of the activities are done indoors.
Workshops at school or in youth camps
Although it would seem that in the case of the workshops at school or at youth camps it would not have to affect the bad weather, it is worth mentioning that the Zoo of the Pyrenees is located at an altitude of 1,400 meters above sea level.
Consequently, it may happen that during the winter months we can be affected by the snow and that the condition of the roads may not allow us to move to the place where the activity is planned. Those are punctual days when it snows fresh snow during the night.

The educational centers can face alterations in the planning due to different internal causes of the school.
How to manage the change of day and cancellation of the activities
If the weather forecast is not favorable, the Zoo of the Pyrenees will contact the person responsible for the activity. Together we will choose the best option for you.
In addition, the school can contact us every day from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm at 610 75 02 24. Also on weekends. This way we can clarify any doubts you may have or inform you about possible complications in the development of the planned workshops.
On the other hand, we would like to warn you that it could happen that, at certain moments, we are not able to take the call. In this case we ask you to leave us a WhatsApp or send us your query by email. We will contact you as soon as possible.
The educational task of teachers has become much more complicated in these times of pandemic. It is for this reason that from the Zoo of the Pyrenees we give you all the all the possible advantages at the moment of contracting the activities. The costs involved in possible changes are assumed by us and are financed from the Foundation’s emergency funds.
In this way we can ensure that the school does not have any additional costs in the case of having to cancel the activity.
