PTA invites the Zoo of the Pyrenees to the school

An appropriate option for the PTA is to show that parents value the students’ learning efforts and the school’ s educational team by offering complementary school activities. The educational activities with wildlife of the Zoo of the Pyrenees stand out for their authenticity and are a magnificent gift appreciated by the students, their families and, equally, by the teachers of your school.

They motivate students to acquire a high level of learning. A personal experience with animals that will no longer be able to return to the wild because of human actions shows the real value of the material learned throughout the theoretical classes of natural sciences. In addition, they encourage students to actively participate in the protection of the natural environment.

Which activities to choose

In case of contracting the Zoo of the Pyrenees workshops as an extraordinary gift for the students, the PTA usually opts for the 1 hour activities. According to the needs of the center this gift is destined to:

• A concrete class to appreciate its outstanding results in a project.
• A degree or academic course to complement classroom learning with a personal experience of the students. (In this case the PTA usually contracts the activity annually).
• A great gift for the whole school. (Since the activities are done in small groups of 1 class, in this case we can come several days in a row.)

PTA organizes a weekend excursion

One of the functions of the PTA is to promote the active participation of the students’ parents. An important task is to promote equality and integration of all families in the school community. Organizing a weekend excursion for the families of the school perfectly complements this complements perfectly with this important need of our current society.

But it must be said that it can be a complex task and time-consuming to manage. We will help you as much as we can so that the organization does not cause you any headaches and the excursion will be a complete success.

How the excursion works

To visit the Zoo of the Pyrenees on weekends we recommend to participate in the following activities:

Schedule

The schedule of the activities during the weekend is posted on our website and cannot be changed. However, even though the zoo is open to the public, the Petting zoo workshop and the guided tour that you have booked will be done in small groups, only for the families of your center. Since the schedule of the activities varies throughout the year, we will give you detailed information when you contact us.

Price for groups

All participants, regardless of age, pay 5€ per contracted activity. Therefore, if you do 3 activities, the price would be 15€ per person.

The bus driver has free admission.

Form of payment

We do not require any pre-payment at the moment of confirming your group’s excursion. To make it easier for the organizers we give you 3 payment options. You can choose the one that best suits your needs.

• At the Zoo ticket office, with these two options:
  • Each family pays its part separately.
  • The person responsible for the group will pay the total amount.
• By bank transfer
  • This option is only for full payment of the group and is done after the excursion.

Proof of payment

We will give you the purchase receipt and moreover, if you request it, we can also issue an invoice. In this case, however, we will need the fiscal data of your company.
